Press Coverage of Study Showing Linkage Between Stroke and Heart Attacks – 4/25/2006

A recently released study conducted by investigators from CBI and the MGH-MIT Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging has gained public attention.  The study, using MR imaging, found that ischemic stroke patients with damage to the right insula and right inferior parietal regions of the brain were more likely have evidence of myocardial damage in the days following the stroke.
